Audi scored their second consecutive victory in the 24 Hours of Spa, thanks to Frank Stippler, René Rast and Andrea Piccini (Audi R8 LMS Ultra No.16) and Christopher Haase Christopher Mies and Stephane Ortelli (Audi R8 LMS ultra No.1). After an adjustment of tyre pressures, Audi led for the first time after four hours and stayed there permanently after nine hours of racing. Delayed after the first hour by a collision in the pit entry, Andre Lotterer, Marcel Fässler and Tom Kristensen, the trio of winners Le Mans winners (Audi R8 LMS ultra No. 6), then made a spectacular recovery that brought them back from 63rd to sixth place at the chequered flag. The car of Marco Bonanomi, Edward Sandström and Laurens Vanthoor (No.2) was forced to retire in the 21st hour due to an accident.
