Hour 23: Porsche still in the lead, drama for Ferrari in LM GTE Pro

The great Ferrari v Corvette battle ended when the No. 51 Italian car was pushed into its garage with a gearbox issue.

Half an hour was gone before last year's class winner Gianmaria Bruni was back on track. The FIA WEC defending champion is now down to third. The No. 64 Chevrolet Corvette is now a strong leader in LM GTE Pro, five laps ahead of the No. 71 Ferrari driven by Davide Rigon.

No problems for leaders in the three other classes, but in LM P2, last year's winner Oliver Turvey, in the No. 38 Jota Sport Gibson passed Sam Bird's No. 26 G-Drive Racing Ligier for second, while No. 47 KCMG Oreca 05 still has one lap margin.

No change in the classification in the LM P1 class and overall, with both No. 19 and No. 17 Porsches still leading. F1 driver Nico Hülkenberg is one lap ahead of Brendon Hartley, while three-time Le Mans winner Benoît Tréluyer is third after bad luck struck 2012 World Champions.

In LM GTE Am, Pedro Lamy, behind the wheel of the No. 98 Aston Martin Vantage, is one lap ahead of the No. 72 SMP Racing Ferrari driven by Andrea Bertolini and two laps ahead of Marco Seefried in the No. 77 Dempsey-Proton Racing Porsche.
