An impressive 23 out of only 30 made will arrive on Friday the 6th of July, for the sixth edition of the Le Mans Classic. The 23 Ferrari 250 GTO will be visible only from 13:00 to 17:00, with two demonstration laps on the circuit 24 hours between 16.00 and 16.30.
The Ferrari 250 GTO made history by becoming once again (in June) the world's most expensive car. The American collector Craig McGaw paid $35 million for the pale green 250 GTO that was the first in RHD. It was built for the British driver Stirling Moss for the 1962 season, but he never drove it in a race, as a result of the accident that ended his career prematurely on the 23rd April 1962 on the Goodwood circuit. One more chapter to the legend of the one all the fans lovingly call "the GTO". To come... other stories of the last half century.
