20/24 - Monday, 20th December - Three titles for Jack Leconte
Already titled with leading European manufacturers, Jack Leconte and Larbre Competition have had a superb farewell tour this year for what is perhaps America's least typical GT car.
It was with the Saleen S7-R that Larbre Competition contested the 2010 season, which was also the last year for the LM GT1 category. Introduced in August 2000, the Saleen S7 was at that time, the fastest production carin the world. A wise choice when many manufacturers were migrating to the booming GT2 category. For the tenth anniversary of the American GT, Jack Leconte gave it a prestigious triple crown: the Le Mans victory in GT1 and the team titles in LM GT1 in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup and the Le Mans Series.
In 2011, Larbre Competition will continue its American adventure in ILMC as partner to Corvette, who will provide one of the factory cars to the European team. A new manufacturer, a new challenge and probably further successes to add to an already distingished record for Jack Leconte and his drivers.
