Second at the 6 Hours of Mexico, just a minute behind the winning Porsche 919, Marcel Fässler did a solid race on Saturday with his teammate André Lotterer. The Swiss driver and the German driver alternated stints as a duo, Benoit Tréluyer having withdrawn from the race. Following a fall early this summer, his health has improved, but the Audi Sport doctors preferred to play it safe. Leading up to the 6 Hours of Austin in Texas, Tréluyer has been enjoying the California sun with his friend Fässler. The two covered the 140 kilometers between San Francisco and the beach at Santa Cruz, and it was quite the excursion to take in stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
That outing looks like it may be just the beginning! Fässler, while sharing his photos, called it simply "Day 1"...heading to Los Angeles?
