Last month, Iron Lynx and Prema Powerteam announced a joint endeavour, making them one of the largest motorsport groups on the international stage, combining Iron Lynx’s endurance experience and Prema’s world-renowned expertise in single-seater racing.
A number of brand new Oreca 07s will soon be heading to the Prema Powerteam premises to start their preparation for next season.
Andre Piccini, Director of Iron Lynx commented: “Iron Lynx has achieved important results this season in GT endurance racing and PREMA is widely recognised as one of the best teams in single-seater racing. The expertise from both teams will create the perfect blend to compete at the highest level.”
Prema team principal Rene Rosin stated: “This is an incredibly exciting development for our team and will lead us into a highly motivating new dimension. We are looking forward to collaborating with the Iron Lynx team to share best practice and knowledge, which we hope will be only the start of a successful future in endurance racing.”
At the 89th 24 Hours of Le Mans this year, Iron Lynx fielded three Ferrari 488 GTE Evo cars in the LMGTE Am class. The #80 was steered to third place in the class by Cressoni/Mastronardi/Ilott.
