The ideal 24 Hours of Le Mans spectator's kit

Whether you’re a rookie or a regular at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, you may be wondering what to bring along. Don’t fret... we have prepared a special guide to help you pack your Race Week bag! We’ve got everything covered for a hassle-free Le Mans experience, from the mobile app to the suncreen (or raincoat!).

The Official Programme

The Official Programme contains all the essential info on the circuit, teams and cars, as well as the practical stuff. You can pick up a copy at various points around the circuit.

A camera to capture all your memories

Don’t forget your camera (or video camera) to record every moment of your unforgettable 24 Hours of Le Mans experience. There are plenty of opportunities to snap some great pictures at the track and outside – during the Drivers’ Parade, for example. Your smartphone camera will be ideal for grabbing a selfie or two with your favourite drivers.

Your phone charger

Don’t forget your phone charger! There are charging points located all around the circuit.

The mobile app for round-the-clock coverage

If you’re not in front of a big screen during the race, don’t panic! You can view exactly the same images, along with the standings and highlights, using the official 24 Hours of Le Mans mobile app. You can also consult Race Week info on the Info Le Mans Circuit app.

You will need an admission ticket to enter the circuit. You can buy one before you arrive or at the gate. There are various packages available for 24 Hours of Le Mans Race Week.

Walking shoes, as you may cover a few miles!

The Circuit des 24 Heures covers 13.626 km and has an array of vantage points for spectators. To make the most of your time here, you’ll need to do some walking! Make sure you come with some comfortable shoes so you don’t end up with blisters by the time the first cars pass the chequered flag at 15:00 on Sunday!

A sun hat

If you watch the race from a sunny spot, you really should be wearing a sun hat or cap. There is no better protection from the heat.

Ear plugs

The cars that race the 24 Hours of Le Mans are extremely powerful... which means very noisy! Of course, petrol heads love the sound of the engines along the pit straight, but you really ought to protect your ears, at least some of the time. ACOU FUN, the hearing specialist, provides free ear plugs and sells noise-cancelling headphones, so you have no excuse!

Raincoat or sun screen?

One thing we can’t control – and the one thing everyone talks about during Race Week – is the weather! Come prepared with a raincoat and some sunscreen and you’ll be weather-proof, come rain or shine!
