TUSC - The various classes (video)

The TUDOR United SportsCar Championship was created out of the merger between the American Le Mans Series and the Grand Am Series at the debut of the 2014 season. Mixing the classes of the two championships, the regulations disperse the cars into four classes: P, PC, GTLM, and GTD, or two for prototypes and two for GTs.

The former Daytona Prototypes and LM P2s were reunited in one single class, whereas the Formula Le Mans constitute one class called PC. Lastly, the GTs were divided into two classes: the GTs compliant with the Le Mans regulations enter in GTLM and those answering to the Grand Am regulations roll in GTD, with D for Daytona. This video explains the differences between the classes.
