24 Hours of Le Mans – Conway and López rewarded at British Racing Drivers’ Club

Mike Conway and José María López, drivers with the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing team at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the FIA World Endurance Championship, recently received awards at the annual British Racing Drivers' Club awards ceremony held in London.

At the annual British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) awards ceremony in London, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing driver Mike Conway received an impressive three awards. The ACO Plate he earned as the highest ranked British driver under the checkered flag at the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans thanks to his second place finish at the wheel of the #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid. He also received the Richard Lloyd Trophy as the highest ranked BRDC member at the Silverstone round of the FIA WEC on 1 September. And he and his teammates Kamui Kobayshi and José María López were awarded the The Silverstone–Le Mans Challenge trophy for best combined result Silverstone-Le Mans. 

Other individuals noteworthy at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the FIA WEC received awards, such as TF Sport team manager Tom Ferrier who won the Nigel Moores Trophy for the most outstanding private British team in international races. TF Sport fields an Aston Martin Vantage AMR in the FIA WEC and won both the 6 Hours of Fuji and 4 Hours of Shanghai. Aston Martin Racing driver Jonathan Adam was awarded the John Cobb Memorial Trophy for his performances at the wheel of a British racing car.
