Tomorrow, Tuesday March 25th, Audi will present the livery and technology of the new R18 e-tron quattro at the very place where the German manufacturer has written the most successful pages in its history : Le Mans.

For the occasion, Tom Kristensen, record holder for most wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will drive from downtown to the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit in his new car.
Through this original and unique media opportunity, called "Warm-up Le Mans 2014", Audi will be marking a new technological era with performance now based on energy efficiency as the new LM P1 technical rules for 2014 oblige.

The four rings marque also wanted to give a nod to the tradition of innovation at the 24 Hours with Tom Kristensen’s drive through the city of Le Mans, reminiscent of a time when competitors would drive their race cars to the track.

Following an hour-long autograph session downtown (Place des Jacobins) with all six Audi drivers who will be contesting the 2014 season, the Danish driver will leave at 1 :30pm for a 10km parade that will take him to the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit entrance before doing one lap of the Bugatti circuit giving invited guests a look at the new challenger.

But fans will be able to experience the event thanks to a live video of "Warm-up Le Mans 2014". Live streaming will begin at 1 :15pm on Tuesday, March 25, at the race’s official website : www.24h-lemans.com as well as on www.audimedia.tv.
