24 Hours of Le Mans - Romain Brandela to take the wheel of Larbre Compétition's Corvette

Larbre Compétition will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 17th and 18th) for the... 24th time! Once again, the French team will enter the #50 Corvette C7-Z06, driven by Romain Brandela as announced on his Facebook page, in the LM GTE Am class.

The French driver is gearing up to participate in his third 24 Hours. He first appeared at Le Mans in 2013 at the wheel of the B11/40-BMW entered by DKR Engineering, a Luxembourg team. He finished 38th (12th in LM P2) along with Stéphane Raffin and Olivier Porta.

The following year, he continued in the LM P2 class, but with the NewBlood by Morand Racing team in a Morgan Judd-BMW shared with Christian Klien and Gary Hirsch. The trio finished 18th overall, sixth in LM P2.

This year will be Romain Brandela's first foray into the LM GTE class at Le Mans even though he already drove this Corvette C7-Z06 in 2016 at the last two rounds of the World Endurance Champioship (FIA WEC) in China and Bahrain.

The two other members of the driver line-up will be announced in the near future. Larbre Compétition has four class wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans: in 1994 (LM GT2), 2010 (LM GT1), 2011 and 2012 (LM GTE Am).
