As in 2013, Ferrari won the three LM GTE Pro crowns: constructors, teams for AF Corse and drivers for Gianmaria Bruni (a second consecutive title) and Toni Vilander. Ferrari was also victorious in this class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, after being beaten by Porsche in 2013. In addition to confirming Bruni belongs at the top of the GT driver hierarchy, this 2014 season also gave Toni Vilander, himself a great expert, a well-deserved title.
For AF Corse, this season was also triumphant thanks to technical support provided to SMP Racing. The Russian team accumulated six international titles in 2014 with the LM P2 driver and team titles in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC)) and in the European Le Mans Series (LM GTE and GTC classes). Between the FIA WEC, the European Le Mans Series, the Asian Le Mans Series and the Tudor United SportsCar Championship - the new American endurance series - the Ferrari 458 Italia amassed no less than 18 wins over the course of the 2014 season. And will undoubtedly be a formidable candidate to achieve the same or better in 2015, both at Le Mans and in the World Championship.
