Alpine is currently developing a Hypercar to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship and 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans. The French marque has just released a first glimpse of the highly anticipated car.
At the upcoming 24 Hours Centenary, Alpine is expected to unveil its new prototype destined for battle with Toyota, Porsche, Ferrari, Peugeot, Lamborghini, BMW, Glickenhaus and Vanwall in 2024.
The Hypercar is designed around an ORECA chassis and Alpine engine. The French marque's involvement in both endurance racing and Formula 1 is a significant asset for the new programme. The car's bodywork will benefit from Enstone's expertise in aerodynamics, and Signatech and Alpine F1 Team are set to provide their technical experience to take it to a level of performance necessary for top positions. Alpine's two Hypercars will undergo first testing sessions this summer.
