Asian Le Mans Series – A look back at the 2019-2020 season's highlights (video)

The 2019-2020 Asian Le Mans Series was unforgettable in more ways than one, so check out the top moments in the video below!

The Asian Le Mans Series just had what could arguably be considered its best season since its creation back in 2009. The calendar included four races and a few new features, such as a round in Australia (the 4 Hours of The Bend) and a 4 Hours of Sepang in Malaysia held at night.

The 2019-2020 rounds saw a highly competitive field with new cars, new teams and races fought to the finish line in every class. In fact, the LMP2, LMP2 Am, LMP3 and GT champions – who each earned invitations to the 88th 24 Hours of Le Mans on 19-20 September – were decided at the final round of the season, the 4 Hours of Buriram in Thailand.

As a result of winning the LMP2, LMP2 Am, LMP3 and GT classes, the following teams have received an invitation to the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans:

  • G-Drive Racing by Algarve, LMP2 winner, invited in LMP2
  • Rick Ware Racing, LMP2 Am winner, invited in LMP2
  • Nielsen Racing, LMP3 winner, invited in LMP2
  • Hub Auto Racing, GT winner, invited in LMGTE Am

These teams will be going up against competitors from the FIA World Endurance Championship and the European Le Mans Series, as well as the GT3 class winner from the Michelin Le Mans Cup invited in LMGTE Am.
