Asian Le Mans Series – G-Drive Racing by Algarve wins the 4 Hours of The Bend

Australia hosted the Asian Le Mans Series for the first time ever this weekend at The Bend near Adelaide.

Here are the (provisional) results of the first Asian Le Mans Series race to be held in Australia, at the new The Bend circuit:

  • In LMP2, the #26 Aurus fielded by G-Drive Racing by Algarve and shared by Roman Rusinov, James French and Leonard Hoogenboom won. 
  • In LMP2 Am, the #52 Ligier JSP2 of Rick Ware Racing driven by Cody Ware and Gustas Grinbergas triumphed.
  • In LMP3, the #2 Norma M30 fielded by Nielsen Racing and shared by Tony Wells and Colin Noble claimed the top step on the podium.
  • In GT, the #7 Ferrari 488 GT3 of the Car Guy team driven by Takeshi Kimura, Kei Cozzolino and Come Ledogar crossed the finish line in first place.

The next Asian Le Mans Series round, the 4 Hours of Sepang (the third of four on the 2019-2020 Asian Le Mans Series calendar), is set for 14-15 February in Malaysia.
