Cetilar Racing gearing up for the FIA World Endurance Championship (video)

Cetilar Racing recently convened at the Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France to test the team’s Dallara P217-Gibson LMP2. Drivers Andrea Belicchi, Roberto Lacorte and Giorgio Sernagiotto covered 1,130 kilometres during the two-day session.

A competitor in the European Le Mans Series since 2016, Cetilar Racing is progressing to the FIA WEC for the 2019-20 season, a move that involves plenty of groundwork. The Italian outfit chose the Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France to test the Dallara P217-Gibson LMP2. Drivers Andrea Belicchi, Roberto Lacorte and Giorgio Sernagiotto covered 1,130 kilometres during the glitch-free two-day session. The newly-shod #47 had no problem adapting to its Michelin tyres. More tests are scheduled in Barcelona next month.

Cetilar Racing won’t be leaving the European Le Mans Series altogether and plans to race the 4 Hours of Monza (10-12 May 2019). The team has applied to take part in the next 24 Hours of Le Mans (15-16 June 2019). The full entry list for the grand finale of the 2018-19 FIA WEC Super Season will be announced on Friday 1 March.
