Dams: Objective... Le Mans

Eight years after the "Michel Vaillant" adventure, the team of Jean Paul Driot could return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans ... For real!

Involved in various championships in single seater cars, and based near Mulsanne, they took advantage of the launch of the 'Formula Le Mans' in 2009, to return to endurance. "It was a good opportunity to learn this discipline, and racing this formula does not require development" said Loïc David, CEO.

This year, the integration of 'monotype' prototypes on the grid of the Le Mans Series allowed Dams to reconnect with endurance races. Obviously, the expertise is still there, since Barlesi-Chalandon are leading the series.

As hoped by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, the Formula Le Mans could be a launching pad for Dams. "We want to return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans" confirmed Loïc David. "LM P1 and LM P2, our choice is not yet made. With the rule changes, there will be good deals to make. We need to take the right course, and this is certainly what we're working on right now. "
