The entry list for the Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain includes 36 cars: 12 Hypercars, 11 LMP2s and 13 LMGTE Ams.
As is customary in the FIA WEC, the Rookie Test will be held the day following the race. The full list of participants will be released soon, but we do already know the drivers named to compete as official rookies in the championship next year.
Several championship crowns will be decided at the Bahrain round, namely the FIA Endurance Hypercar Drivers title, up for grabs between four crews (#8 Toyota, #7 Toyota, #50 Ferrari, #51 Ferrari). The FIA Endurance LMP2 Teams and LMP2 Drivers crowns also remain in play, with Team WRT, Inter Europol Competition and United Autosports still contenders.
The Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain will mark the final appearance of the LMP2 and LMGTE Am classes in the FIA WEC. Beginning next year, the championship will see two classes on the track: Hypercar and GT3.
