FIA WEC – Paul Dalla Lana's Aston Martin Vantage AMR unveiled

2017 FIA Endurance GTE Am Drivers Trophy winner Paul Dalla Lana will represent his own team in the 2021 FIA WEC at the wheel of an Aston Martin Vantage AMR. He is seeking both a win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans as well as the championship title.

Paul Dalla Lana is gearing up for his ninth season in the FIA World Endurance Championship. He is looking to add one more to his impressive 16 class wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and clinch a second championship title after 2017. The Canadian driver will once again join forces with Augusto Farfus with the line-up rounded out by Brazilian driver Marcos Gomes making his debut in the Vantage AMR. Gomes won the GT class in the 2020 Asian Le Mans Series with the HubAuto Corsa team. The combined experience level and top speeds of these three drivers in the #98 Aston Martin could win their team, North West AMR, the title in LMGTE Am.

Paul Dalla Lana: "I’ve had great success with Aston Martin Racing over the past nine years, and winning the title in 2017 in Bahrain was undoubtedly the highlight. However, I still have unfinished business at Le Mans and I believe we now have the best package of car, team and drivers to emulate 2017 and to secure our first Le Mans title."

The team will kick off its 2021 FIA WEC season at the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on 29 April-1 May. In the meantime, check out these photos of the #98 Aston Martin Vantage AMR's livery:
