Ken Block, extreme sports champion, tests the road Ford GT at Le Mans (video)

During the 85th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ken Block, driver and extreme sports champion, had the opportunity to test the road Ford GT and meet the official drivers as well as Chip Ganassi, owner of the Ford Chip Ganassi Racing team who enters cars in the LMGTE Pro class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Ken Block is an American driver well-known in disciplines such as skateboarding, motocross and snowboarding who has won multiple medals in the X-Games (an extreme sports competition in the U.S.). In terms of mechanical sports, the 49-year-old has competed in the World Rally Championship (WRC) and Rallycross (World RX). This year he is participating again in Rallycross with a Ford Focus RS.

Having done all these competitions with Ford, he was invited to this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans by the American marque and was given the opportunity to test the road Ford GT, as seen in the video below. Also, he was able to hit the 24 Hours circuit with the car and do two laps before heading to the 24 Hours Village to sign autographs.

Ken Block has also made a name for himself with millions online by posting videos of Gymkhana (similar to autocross with the aim of clocking the fastest time possible) in which he drifts in the streets of the greatest cities in the world like Los Angeles and Dubai. One of the most stunning is the video filmed in San Francisco, included below: turn up the sound and fasten your seat belt! This video has been seen more than 90 million times!
