The third force of Intercontinental Le Mans Cup in pursuit of Peugeot and Audi, Toyota is also famous as a manufacturer in Le Mans Series for the first year of partnership with Lola and Rebellion Racing.

Winner Le Mans Series at Imola and Silverstone, Toyota's 3.4 litre engine RV8KLM s installed in both Rebellion Racing Lola coupes. Jean-Christophe Boullion / Andrea Belicchi and Neel Jani / Nicolas Prost, was awarded the title less than a year after the first tesing in Portugal and Spain. This winning combination has also gleaned five podium finishes,  and sixth place in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and aims for Drivers and Teams titles at the 6 hours of Estoril the final round Le Mans Series 2011, next Sunday.

Yoshiaki Kinoshit, (President of Toyota Motorsport GmbH): “Congratulations to the Rebellion Racing team on this great achievement. We are proud to share the Le Mans Series Manufacturers’ Championship title with Lola. Now we will keep our fingers crossed for the last race in Estoril where hopefully Rebellion can finish the season by securing both the Teams’ and Drivers’ Championship titles.”

Martin Birrane (Executive Chairman and Owner of Lola Group): “The Le Mans Series Manufacturers title is just reward for every Lola, Toyota Motorsport and Rebellion engineer and team member. It is rewarding to work with professional customer teams such as Rebellion Racing and engine suppliers such as TMG, who like Lola have a meticulous approach to the LMP1 programme.”

Bart Hayden (Rebellion Racing Team Manager): "This achievement is the best way to establish a strong and long term relationship. I would like to include Michelin in the Manufacturers’ Championship win, they have provided us a first class service all year with quick, consistent and durable tyres.”

Alexandre Pesci (Rebellion Racing Team Principal): “Winning the Manufacturers' Championship in the first year of our relationship with TMG, and also for the last year of LMP1 cars in the Le Mans Series, is a great reward. Now we have to stay focused on the last leg of the LMS where Teams’ and Drivers’ titles are still to be settled and battling against the immense Pescarolo team is no small job.”
