MissionH24 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

One of Europe’s greatest celebrations of motorsport, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, has invited MissionH24 to this year’s event. From Thursday to Sunday, the LMPH2G will give demonstrations on the famous Goodwood Hill.

MissionH24 is one of the guests of the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed this week (Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 July). The crowds attending one of the most famous motorsport events in Europe will be treated to demonstrations by the electric-hydrogen prototype developed through the programme initiated by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest and GreenGT. Every day, from Thursday to Sunday, Stéphane Richelmi will demonstrate the performance of the LMPH2G, between series of runs by F1 single-seaters and Endurance prototypes, on the celebrated Goodwood Hill.

On Friday morning, the H24Racing driver will be accompanied by none other than Charles Gordon-Lennox, the 11th Duke of Richmond, founder of the event and owner of Goodwood Estate. The Duke has accepted MissionH24’s invitation to join Richelmi aboard the prototype for an exhilarating one-minute sprint up the hill. On crossing the finish line, all that will remain of this historic run will be the pictures that will undoubtedly be seen throughout the motoring world and 1.5 litres of water vapour, dispersed into the atmosphere – the only fallout from the operation of the hydrogen fuel cell that supplies energy to the LMPH2G’s electric powertrains. Zero exhaust gases, zero NOx and zero CO2.

Between the daily hillclimb demonstrations, the LMPH2G will also be the star of the Michelin Supercar Paddock that hosts some of the most incredible machines at the show. Exhibited on a turntable, the car will be presented in detail to the large crowd of avid spectators. After last year’s hiatus, the Festival of Speed is expected to draw some 150,000 visitors to the 500-hectare estate this week.
