Quifel-ASM Team has decided not to race at the six hours of Imola, which will be on 2nd and 3rd July 2011.

A solid performer in the Le Mans Series in the LM P2 category, and winner in 2009, the Portuguese team decided to move to an LM P1 Zytek chassis for the 2011 season. Miguel Amaral and Olivier Pla finished eighth of the 6 Hours of Le Castellet, the opening round LMS in April, but has to face serious problems in reliability, particularly of its engine, which caused their retirement from the 1000 km Spa-Francorchamps, and Le Mans 24 Hours.

A summer of hard work awaits Quifel-ASM Team, but they are determined to make a return at the 6 Hours of Silverstone on September 11, and also to maintain commitment to endurance racing. Legitimate ambitions with such a good track record gained since arriving in the Le Mans Series.
