Robert Kubica testing Manor's Ginetta LMP1 at MotorLand Aragón

As many as three teams from the LMP1 class will hit the track at MotorLand Aragón over the course of three days. Robert Kubica, a reserve driver with Williams in Formula 1, will make his debut at the wheel of the Ginetta G60-LT-P1 of CEFC TRSM Racing, otherwise known as Manor.

Robert Kubica was confirmed to compete in the 2017 season of the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) with the ByKOLLES Racing team, but decided to withdraw as a result of the questionable reliability of the ENSO CLM P1/01. The victim of a serious accident during a rally race just as he was on the rise in F1, the Polish driver has now joined Manor in the LMP1 class, making his return to endurance, a discipline he entered at the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) Rookie Test in Bahrain back in 2016.

This week in Spain, the 2008 Canadian Grand Prix winner will go up against the ByKOLLES Racing team's ENSO CLM P1/01, as well SMP Racing's new BR Engineering BR1, driven namely by Vitaly Petrov, Kubica's F1 teammate with Renault in 2010.

Austrian outfit ByKOLLES Racing will field a prototype in LMP1 in the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. CEFC TRSM Racing and SMP Racing will each enter two of their respective cars.
