Jo Siffert, Herbert Müller and Peter Schetty, great Swiss names of the 70s, can be proud of their heirs. At ELMS official testing, which is held on the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit at Le Castellet on 26 and 27 March, confirmed the good performance of competitors of the Swiss Confederation, with the fastest time of the 26th in the afternoon the LM P2 Morgan-Judd prototype of team Racing Morand. Furthermore Mailleux Ajlani and Karim, were at the wheel with the Swiss Natacha Gachnang, who with Cyndie Allemann and Rahel Frey were the last 100% female crew to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2010. Morand Racing is one of the reserve cars for the LM P2 class this year.
ELMS 2012 title holders Thiriet by TDS Racing confirmed their pace. With Thiriet is the Swiss driver Jonathan Hirschi. He succeeds his compatriot Mathias Beche, now in the World Championship with Rebellion Racing. The Franco-Swiss duo remained in the forefront for the ELMS testing. Recall that in 2012, Thiriet by TDS Racing for his first participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012, finished second in the LMP2 class. In the video above is the Morgan Judd of Morand Racing (No.43), the Oreca-Nissan of Thiriet by TDS Racing (No.1) and also the Alpine No.36, who set the best performance of the two days of testing.
First Swiss winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and World Champion Driver Marcel Fässler defends his double crown in 2013, while Neel Jani and Mathias Beche defend Rebellion Racing's private team title in the premier class of LM P1 prototypes. Toyota factory driver Sebastien Buemi will also be one of the main opponents of Audi driver Marcel Fässler. Neel Jani, is on track on the 29th and 30th March at Le Castellet, for testing the FIA World Endurance Championship.
