The 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans for TF Sport (LMGTE Am)

43 teams (fielding 61 cars) competed in the 87th 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Super Finale of the FIA WEC 2018-19 World Endurance Championship. There were winners, of course, but also mechanical glitches, track incidents and early retirements. Joy for some, disappointment for others... Here’s a summary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the TF Sport team, which ran in the LMGTE Am class.

Team: TF Sport

Class: LMGTE Am

Car:  Aston Martin Vantage

Drivers:

  • Salih Yoluc (3rd participation)
  • Euan Hankey (3rd participation)
  • Charlie Eastwood (2nd participation)

This year, TF Sport took the start in its third 24 Hours of Le Mans. The British team qualified in 57th position with a time of 3:53.606 clocked by Charlie Eastwood during the third session. In the race, the #90 Aston Martin Vantage left the track at the Mulsanne corner on Sunday at 04:56. TF Sport finished in 42nd place overall, 11th in LMGTE Am class, and third in the FIA Endurance GTE Am Teams Trophy for the 2018-2019 FIA WEC season. "We didn't have the newest or most developed car in the class, but we definitely maximised what we could accomplish. I am really happy for the team. Being in this position for our first WEC season is incredible," said Charlie Eastwood.
