The FIA World Motor Sport Council approves the dates for the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans

The FIA World Motor Sport Council convened the first day of the week dedicated to motorsports organized at its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and approved the dates of June 16-17, 2018 for the 86th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The day after an 85th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans full of twists and surprises all the way up to the checkered flag - culminating in Porsche's third overall win in a row - the dates for the next year's running have already been announced: June 16-17, 2018.

The 2018 edition, which will include the official return of BMW in GT, will once again take place the 24th weekend of the year when the drivers will be able to take maximum advantage of daylight.
