Of all the ALMS races so far this year, the one on the 11th of August had possibly the greatest number of changes of fortune and twists of fate.
- In the P2 class the ESM team who entered two HPD cars saw one go up in flames. The only solution for the driver; exit the track and extinguish the fire. More fright than harm though.
- In the GTC class, it was a great battle that pitted the Porsches of Alex Job Racing against Flying Lizard Motorsports. In the end, the lizard won and pocketed valuable points which now place it at the top of its class, with only four races remaining.
- The DeltaWing is back. Since last year, it had not had the opportunity to get back in the ALMS. For the occasion, it finished the race, third in the P1 class, behind the invincible Muscle Milk Pickett Racing and Dyson Racing teams.
- In GT, the Porsche No.11 of JDX Racing ended up in a stack of tyres, resulting in a stack of work for their mechanics ...
- It's been a thirteen year wait and the Corvette vs Viper battle was intense, but in the end it is the Viper No.91 of Dominik Farnbacher and Marc Goossens gave the marque a 17th victory. SRT Motorsport is back to business.
The next round of the ALMS is scheduled at Baltimore on the 1st of September.
