Zytek Motorsport has announced yesterday that, as a result of new regulations for the series, they have formed a partnership with Nismo (Nissan Motorsport) to supply engines for the LM P2 class in 2011.

It will be a 4494cc V8 (type VK45DE), with which the Japanese manufacturer won the national Super GT championship in 2008. It will be available for all chassis that meet the 2011 regulations. Zytek will provide maintenance.

In 2010, Zytek was the only manufacturer to win both in LM P1 (Beechdean Mansell at the 1000 km Hungaroring) and LM P2 (Quifel ASM Team at the 1000 km of Spa). In the latter category, the Team Bruichladdich (pictured above) was the best representative of Zytek in the final classification (5th), after finishing 10th in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
