Teams will take advantage of three hours of running to fine-tune their car setups ahead of the race. Their testing program will also include long stints, aerodynamic trials, as well as tire and fuel consumption tests. Depending on the remaining practice time, some drivers will push the pace to gauge their car’s potential ahead of the qualifying sessions.

LMP2 and LMGT3 cars take part in a 30-minute qualifying session. The challenge? Only the 12 best cars in these respective categories will be able to take part in the Hyperpole sequence the following day.

Road to Le Mans is the highlight of the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup. The championship is for LMP3 and GT3 cars. Introduced by the ACO in 2016, Road to Le Mans paves the way to the world’s greatest endurance race, providing drivers and teams with precious experience as they work their way through the feeder series.
The day ends with a two-hour free practice session for the whole field. This session takes place after dark, meaning more adjustments for drivers. Will they alter their braking points?
