24 Heures du Mans – The Glickenhaus 007 hits the track (video)

The Glickenhaus 007 LMH in the new Hypercar class has taken part in two test days at Vallelunga circuit in Italy in preparation for the 2021 FIA WEC season and 89th 24 Hours of Le Mans on 12-13 June.

After the posting of a video on social media showing the new Glickenhaus 007 LMH in all its glory, the Hypercar hit the track for the very first time this morning. This shakedown took place at the Vallelunga circuit in Italy with in attendance Romain Dumas, winner at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans with Porsche. It was the perfect opportunity to calibrate the gearbox, steering and engine.

These tests will continue through tomorrow, Friday 26 February. Additional track time is scheduled for early March at Monza then once again at Vallelunga. Later, the team will head to Portimão to participate in the FIA WEC Prologue on 30-31 March, then the 8 Hours of Portimão on 2-4 April, the first round of the 2021 season.

For Season 9 of the FIA WEC and this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, Romain Dumas will join forces with Ryan Briscoe (age 38, five participations in the 24 Hours), Pipo Derani (age 27, five participations), Franck Mailleux (age 35, three participations), Gustavo Menezes (age 26, five participations), Olivier Pla (age 39, 13 participations) and Richard Westbrook (age 45, 10 participations).
