24 Hours of Le Mans – ARC Bratislava (LMP2)

This year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans sees a record number of entrants on the grid. We take a look at the 43 teams behind the 62 cars in the field. Here’s the lowdown on LMP2 team ARC Bratislava.

Team: ARC Bratislava

Class: LMP2

Cars and Drivers:

#49 Ligier JS P217-Gibson

  • Miroslav Konopka (three participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans)
  • Henning Enqvist (rookie)
  • Konstantin Tereschenko (rookie)

Team Achievements:

Slovak team ARC Bratislava has taken the start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans once. In 2017, its #49 Ligier JS P217 finished 45th overall and 19th in the LMP2 category. The team earned its invitation to the 87th running of the race this year by winning the LMP2 class in the 2018-2019 Asian Le Mans Series season.

Though Miroslav Konopka (age 57), the linchpin of the ARC Bratislava project, has competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times, teammates Henning Enqvist (age 25) and Konstantin Tereshenko (age 24) will be making their first appearances in the race. They are both participating in the European Le Mans Series this season: Enqvist with the Algarve Pro Racing team and Tereshenko with Panis-Barthez Compétition.

Team Goals for the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans:

It's a safe bet the team will first look to reach the chequered flag and then, why not, aim for a higher spot in the classification than in 2017.
