24 Hours of Le Mans – Cadillac shows off new Hypercar

Cadillac has released images of the Hypercar it will field in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship – including the 24 Hours of Le Mans – in 2023.

Cadillac Vice President Rory Harvey: "Cadillac will be competing again on the world racing stage, and we are all thrilled to return to Le Mans after 20 years. By competing in both the 2023 IMSA and WEC championships, Cadillac Racing has the opportunity to demonstrate its capability, craftsmanship and technology."

Co-developed by Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing and Dallara, this Hypercar incorporates the marque's key design features. For example, vertical lighting is an element of the carmaker's legacy, intertwining the GTP Hypercar project to the future of Cadillac. The car is powered by an all-new 5.5-litre V8 engine mated to a common hybrid system and will comply with LMDh regulations.

The Hypercar is expected to begin testing sessions this month, and its first race will be the 2023 Rolex 24 at Daytona. In the meantime, check out the photo gallery below of the stunning Cadillac Hypercar.
