To celebrate its 70th anniversary, Porsche gathered a dozen of its top models in the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, Germany...including several iconic cars that have taken the start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Nearly 4,000 people attended Porsche Sound Night a few days ago at the German marque's headquarters in Stuttgart. Tickets even sold out in a matter of minutes! Lucky attendees were treated to the sights and sounds of 13 of the most stunning models in Porsche's history, straight from the museum floor.

They included the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo Tribute, the #26 911 GT1 winner at the 1998 24 Hours (Allan McNish, Stéphane Ortelli and Laurent Aiello), the #17 962 C winner in 1987 (Al Holbert, Hans-Joachim Stuck and Derek Bell, present at the soirée), the #21 917 K in its famous Gulf Oil livery, the #43 935/78 winner at the 1978 running of Le Mans, and one of the four 911 RSRs (the #91 shared by Gianmaria Bruni, Richard Lietz and Fred Makowiecki) that took the start at the 24 Hours this year (second in LMGTE Pro).

Six-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Jacky Ickx and Walter Röhrl made appearances at the exclusive gathering.
