Asian Le Mans Series - 4 Hours of Fuji highlights (video)

The second round of the 2018-2019 Asian Le Mans Series season took place in Japan this weekend at the Fuji circuit. In the wake of a stunning battle, Portuguese team Algarve Pro Racing's #24 Ligier JS P2 won its first victory of the season!

The 4 Hours of Fuji, second round of the 2018-2019 Asian Le Mans Series season, was won by Algarve Pro Racing's #24 Ligier JS P2 thanks to defending champion Harrison Newey and 2018 European Le Mans Series champion Andrea Pizzitola. The second step on the podium was claimed by the #22 Ligier JS P2 fielded by United Autosports.

The United Autosports team (with Phil Hanson and Paul Di Resta) has now taken the lead in the championship with 37 points over the 34 marked so far by Spirit of Race's #8 Ligier JS P2, the 27 by ARC Bratislava's #4 Ligier JS P2 and the 25 by Algarve Pro Racing. ARC Bratislava and United Autosports (#23 Ligier JS P2) are tied in the Am championship with 43 points each.

In LMP3, the winner at the Shanghai round, Inter Europol Competition's #13 Ligier JS P3 shared by Martin Hippe and Jakub Smiechowski has kept the lead in the class with 11 points on United Autosports's #2 Ligier JS P3.

The GT winner this weekend, Car Guy Racing's #11 Ferrari 488 GT3 now has a significant lead in the class with 51 points on the 36 marked to date by Spirit of Race's #51 Ferrari 488 GT3.
