ELMS – United Autosports to celebrate 300th race at 4 Hours of Barcelona

The third round of the European Le Mans Series season is coming up this weekend on 19-20 July in Barcelona. At 18:30 local time, 41 teams will take the start in the four-hour night race, with Anglo-American team United Autosports celebrating a remarkable milestone: its 300th race.

This weekend, the United Autosports team will celebrate its 300th race with its first appearance in Barcelona for a "modern" race, having already taken the start there in a vintage race. A competitor in the 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with two cars (with as best result ninth place overall, fourth in LMP2), United Autosports is now getting ready for the third round of the 2019 European Le Mans Series, the 4 Hours of Barcelona, on 19-20 July.

Since its formation in 2009, the team based in Leeds, England has created an outstanding track record with 152 podium finishes, 51 wins and 49 pole positions, and since its first appearance in the European Le Mans Series in 2016, the outfit has accumulated 12 victories, three pole positions, 28 podium finishes and two titles. For its first regular season start at the 4.655 km-circuit in Barcelona, United Autosports will field a total of four cars in two classes: two in LMP2 and two LMP3 for its 300th race.
