Last memories from 2008, before the 2010 Le Mans Classic

Stanley Gold (2008 Grid 3 entrant): “I never raced at the Le Mans Classic in an open car like my Porsche RS61. In terms of concentration, it is totally different between driving a closed or open car.

Stanley Gold (2008 Grid 3 entrant): “I never raced at the Le Mans Classic in an open car like my Porsche RS61. In terms of concentration, it is totally different between driving a closed or open car. Some habits have to be changed. I did not have my helmet really tight and it started to rise off my head!”

Jo Bamford (2008 Grid 4 entrant): “The first time you drive here, you don’t know where you are going, and 180mph on the straight was really scary. It’s also very scary at night, but fear is part of the excitement here.”

Olivier Cazalières (2008 Grid 5 winner): “In 2008 Grid 5 looked like the big Ferrari/Porsche duel, just like in the old days! I think that this is extraordinary for the spectators and the aficionados of all these cars. For me it definitely is.”

Joël Laplacette (2008 Grid 6 entrant): “It also was a delight to take the wheel of the Porsche 930 I drove in the 1978 Le Mans 24 Hours, which was thanks to a performance tuner located between Grenoble and Switzerland. He phoned to tell me that he had found my car!”
