The 2026 Green Ticket programme is another step in the effort to become a low-carbon event. Introduced in 2022 to encourage spectators to choose ecological transport to attend the race, the Green Ticket programme has evolved to include an on-site contest, the Impact Challenge. The new version invites fans to actively share the event’s commitments.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is on the way to becoming a low-impact event. Building on the successful Green Ticket introduced in 2022, the Automobile Club de l&rsquo;Ouest (ACO) is furthering its commitment with the 2026 Green Ticket Programme. Under the new system, Green Ticket holders are active contributors to the event&rsquo;s sustainability commitments.

The programme is a joint undertaking involving spectators and organisers.

	Green Ticket holders elect to use soft transport to travel to the circuit: EV or hybrid car, carpool, train, bicycle, tramway or on foot.

	In return, they earn points in the 24 Hours of Le Mans IMPACT CHALLENGE that rewards eco-responsible behaviour.

	<li>
	The ACO pledges to put 5% of Green Ticket proceeds towards reducing the race&rsquo;s carbon footprint.

<h2>The 2025 Impact Challenge hit the spot</h2>

The new programme comes in the wake of the <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/fr/actualites/un-veritable-succes-pour-l-impact-challenge-de-la-93e-edition-des-24-heures-du-mans-59854" target="_blank">2025 IMPACT CHALLENGE</a>&nbsp;introduced this June and included in the 24H EXPERIENCE mobile app. An interactive serious game, the challenge urges spectators to accomplish 170 missions related to sustainability, responsibility and commitment. Players earn points to enter a prize draw at the race.

The figures speak for themselves: more than 8,000 players, 205,000 QR codes scanned and 16 million points awarded. As a result, the ACO donated EUR 12,000 to the children&rsquo;s heart charity M&eacute;c&eacute;nat Chirurgie Cardiaque, demonstrating that the love of motorsport extends way beyond the track.

The 2026 Green Ticket underlines the commitment of the world&rsquo;s greatest endurance race to lead the way in sustainable innovation. At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, everyone plays a part in building a greener future.

The 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans Green Ticket Programme

History | The first Free Practice session for the Mexican Grand Prix today (Friday 24 October) will see four 24 Hours of Le Mans winners take to the track: Antonio Fuoco, Ryō Hirakawa, Fernando Alonso and Nico Hulkenberg. The rare occurrence highlights the strong links between endurance and Formula One.

The&nbsp;2025 Mexican Grand Prix will be something of a red-letter day for the world&rsquo;s greatest endurance race as four former winners will be behind the wheel of a single-seater in Free Practice 1.&nbsp;Antonio Fuoco&nbsp;(2024, Ferrari AF Corse),&nbsp;Ryō Hirakawa&nbsp;(2022, Toyota Gazoo Racing),&nbsp;Fernando Alonso&nbsp;(2018 and 2019, Toyota Gazoo Racing) and Nico Hulkenberg&nbsp;(2015, Porsche Team) show how versatile racers can be across motorsport disciplines.

<h2>Fuoco&rsquo;s great reward</h2>

Twenty-nine-year-old Fuoco is preparing to make his first-ever appearance on an official Formula One race weekend, in compliance with the rule that requires teams to field a rookie driver in at least two sessions per car over the course of the season. The Italian will take the wheel of Lewis Hamilton&rsquo;s SF-25.&nbsp;&ldquo;My debut in an official weekend is something that, both personally and professionally, makes me truly proud and happy,&rdquo;&nbsp;Fuoco says.&nbsp;&ldquo;Having the opportunity to drive Lewis&rsquo;s car and to share the garage with Charles [Leclerc] again, as we did in 2017 in Formula 2, is really special. It will definitely be a Friday to remember, a reward for the work I&rsquo;ve done over the years in support of the team.&rdquo;

Fuoco, a member of the #50 Ferrari 499P line-up in the FIA World Endurance Championship, is already familiar with the SF-25 from his simulator work.&nbsp;&ldquo;Working with Lewis&rsquo; engineers and the rest of the team at the track will allow me to grow further and refine the technical sensitivity that I&rsquo;ll bring back to my work in Maranello,&rdquo; he explained.&nbsp;&ldquo;The victory with the Hypercar in the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans will probably remain the highlight of my career, but being able to finally take part officially in a Formula 1 weekend with Scuderia Ferrari HP is an incredible feeling.&rdquo;

This test session is the culmination of a copybook career that has taken Fuoco from the Ferrari Driver Academy to the development of the 499P Hypercar project, reflecting the strong bond between F1 and endurance.

<h2>Hirakawa,&nbsp;reserve driver for MoneyGram Haas F1 Team</h2>

Hirakawa, meanwhile, will sit in for Oliver Bearman at the wheel of the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team VF-25. This will be the third Free Practice session of the season for the 31-year-old Japanese racer.

Last April, when Hirakawa&rsquo;s recruitment as reserve driver was announced, Team Principal Ayao Komatsu said:&nbsp;&ldquo;Being able to provide Ryō valuable track time across four different circuits this year will help the entire team [&hellip;] It&rsquo;s a real pleasure to work with a racer of his driving acumen.&rdquo; Toyota Gazoo Racing&nbsp;is official technical partner to the American team. The two parties share expertise, knowledge and resources with Toyota Gazoo Racing providing design, engineering and manufacturing services. A technical gateway that illustrates the dynamic interaction between endurance and Formula One.

<h2>The priceless experience of Alonso and Hulkenberg</h2>

Two-time Formula One world champion Alonso (44) will naturally be one of the focal points of the weekend. The double Le Mans winner, still as competitive as ever, currently sits in 12th place in the championship for Aston Martin.

Hulkenberg, who triumphed at Le Mans with Porsche back in 2015, drives for Kick Sauber and lies in ninth place in the overall classification. The 38-year-old German has an astonishing 246 Grand Prix starts to his name!

Having four former 24 Hours of Le Mans winners compete in an official practice session for a round of the Formula One world championship represents the coming together of two disciplines&nbsp;symbolised by a quest for performance, precision and passion. Alpine Endurance Team has announced the recruitment of António Félix da Costa from next season’s FIA World Endurance Championship. The Portuguese driver – LMP2 class winner at the 2022 24 Hours of Le Mans and 2019-2020 Formula E world champion – will bring his wealth of experience and quest for performance to the French outfit.

A major coup for Alpine Endurance Team! Ant&oacute;nio F&eacute;lix da Costa&nbsp;will join the French outfit in 2026 for its Hypercar programme for the FIA WEC, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 34-year-old Portuguese all-rounder, who has tasted success at Le Mans and in Formula E, has signed a long-term deal to help Alpine&nbsp;become a fixture at the very top of international endurance. After a first outing in the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/the-alpine-a424-hypercar-under-the-microscope-more-precise-more-reliable-more-ambitious-59684" target="_blank">A424</a>&nbsp;at Le Mans&rsquo; Bugatti circuit, Da Costa now plans to settle into the French Hypercar at the Rookie Test in Bahrain

<h2>An impressive track record</h2>

The Cascais-born Da Costa has forged a solid reputation&nbsp;built on his speed and adaptability. After cutting his teeth in Formula Renault, and then DTM and GT, he showed outstanding promise in single-seaters, picking up two wins at the prestigious Macau Grand Prix and garnering several Formula One trials. His versatility has earned him a reputation as one of the best all-round drivers of his generation.

In addition to winning the Formula E world championship in 2019-2020, Da Costa has also shone in endurance. After a promising d&eacute;but in LMGTE Pro, he clinched the LMP2 title and scooped a 24 Hours of Le Mans class win in 2022. A&nbsp;switch to Hypercar saw him help his crew to victory in the 2023 FIA World Cup for Hypercar Teams.

<h2>ObjectiVE: Winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans</h2>

For Philippe Sinault, Team Principal of Alpine Endurance Team, Da Costa&rsquo;s arrival is the outcome of &ldquo;mutual respect between us, as well as a desire to work together one day&rdquo;.&nbsp;The Frenchman recognises in Da Costa &ldquo;a pure racer who has always known how to get the best out of his car and [...] a formidable competitor&rdquo;, in perfect harmony with his team&rsquo;s values. Da Costa, meanwhile, is &ldquo;excited to become part of a brand with a strong racing heritage&rdquo;&nbsp;and reveals that his &ldquo;goal now is to contribute to Alpine&rsquo;s success at the pinnacle&rdquo;.

With this signing, Alpine is underlining its firm intention to rival with the leading Hypercar manufacturers. The Portuguese racer&rsquo;s experience and rigour will be precious assets in driving the upward trajectory of the A424 after its 2025 6 Hours of Fuji win. Ant&oacute;nio F&eacute;lix da Costa&rsquo;s objective is now clear: to take Alpine to a prestigious victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

António Félix da Costa set to join Alpine’s FIA WEC programme from 2026

The next 24 Hours of Le Mans on 10-14 June is eagerly awaited, following record-breaking attendance this year. Ticketing details for the 94th edition, the 4th round of the 2026 FIA WEC are announced today.

Ticket sales in two waves

The ticket office will open early for ACO Members, with a presale period from Tuesday 4 to Thursday 6 November 2025. Club members will be able to purchase their race packages online, on site at the circuit (Place du Village from 10:00 to 18:00) or in official ACO outlets in Paris, Tours and Rouen.

As of 7 November 2025, tickets will go on general sale at ticket.24h-lemans.com, in official ACO stores and from partner agencies.

Google Pay&nbsp;and Apple Pay are now accepted means of payment, in addition to the usual methods. 
 
Last year, full week passes sold out within a day.&nbsp;

New grandstands

The Automobile Club de l&rsquo;Ouest continues to improve spectator experience. New grandstand seating has been added in popular viewing areas La Chapelle, Maison Blanche and Karting.

The grandstands have been renumbered and renamed for clarity. 
 
These additions are part of an overall refurbishment programme designed to improve accessibility and comfort for spectators.

Green Ticket: a shared commitment

Introduced in 2022, the Green Ticket is a shared commitment between the race organiser and spectators who commit to using low-carbon transport to travel to the race (train, tram, bicycle, walking, carpool or low-emission vehicle). 
 
In return, the ACO invests 5% of Green Ticket proceeds towards decarbonising the event. 
 
Green Ticket holders are awarded points towards the Impact Challenge contest introduced last year. 
 
These measures are part of the ACO&rsquo;s Race to 2030 programme, which aims to reduce the race&rsquo;s emissions by 30% by 2030 and contribute to the nation&rsquo;s carbon neutral goal.

Extension of validity for Practice &amp; Qualifying Session tickets

More good news! All practice and qualifying session tickets for Test Day and the Wednesday and Thursday sessions include admission to the circuit on Tuesday 9 June 2026 so spectators can experience the mounting tension at the circuit.

A variety of offers and VIP Packages

Race Week Admission is &euro;122 (&euro;73 for ACO Members). The comprehensive range of ticketing packages covers the full spectrum of racegoer requirements, from practice and qualifying sessions, the race itself, to grandstand seating and VIP experiences.&nbsp;

Like last year, ACO Members get a 5% discount on VIP Packages (up to two packages per member, subject to availability).

From a racing point of view, the next 24 Hours of Le Mans sees Korean manufacturer Genesis enter the top class of the tough competition, and a new improved Toyota hypercar ready to regain winner status.&nbsp;
