Tom Kristensen and the 24 Hours of Le Mans at Goodwood

Win record-holder at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with nine victories, Tom Kristensen will be on the track at the Goodwood Revival (September 11-13) accompanied by a wonderful array of former Le Mans winners.

The Danish driver will be at the wheel of a 1964 Ford Fairlane and a Lister Jaguar at the great British event for historic competition cars and motos, which is traditionally held in September. Among the other former winners of the 24 Hours expected at the event will figure the dynamic duo Emanuele Pirro and Derek Bell (five wins each) reunited at the wheel of a 250 LM (the last Ferrari to win at Le Mans - half a century ago!) as well as Richard Attwood, Mark Blundell, David Brabham, Jochen Mass, Jackie Oliver and Andy Wallace. These nine drivers have an impressive cumulative 25 victories at Le Mans between them.

Other big players at the 24 Hours - past and present - will be on the track at Goodwood (Brian Redman, Alain de Cadenet, Karun Chandhok, Mike Conway, Marino Franchitti, Lucas Luhr, Nicolas Minassian, Darren Turner, Danny Watts) at the wheel of cars from all eras (Alfa Romeo 8C, Austin Mini Cooper S, Ford Anglia, Alfa Romeo 1600 GTA Ford-Lotus Cortina Mk 1, Jaguar Type D, Jaguar Type E, AC Cobra, Ferrari GTO, Maserati Tipo 51, Cobra Daytona, McLaren M14A). Plenty for great battles to be waged since racing in an event for classic cars certainly doesn't diminish the competitive spirit!
