Thirty-five years after its first win at Le Mans, a little more than 10 years ago Porsche launched the RS Spyder, which marked its return to prototypes in the LM P2 class that peaked at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2008 and 2009.

After a fleshed out career in Formula 1 and several experiences in A1 Grand Prix, Jos Verstappen has been dipping his toes in endurance since 2008. That year, the Dutch driver won it all at the wheel of his Porsche RS Spyder.

Even though it has never won overall at Le Mans, the Porsche RS Spyder prototype, designed for the LM P2 class of prototypes, has an outstanding track record, with the highlight being an exceptional 2008.
