24 Hours of Le Mans – James Winslow to replace Léo Roussel

LMP2 contender Inter Europol Competition has announced that James Winslow will replace Léo Roussel in the #34 Ligier JS P217-Gibson at the 87th 24 Hours of Le Mans (15-16 June 2019). He will team up with Jakub Smiechowski and Nigel Moore.

Léo Roussel’s back injury sustained during practice for the Monza round of the European Le Mans Series will keep him out of the 87th 24 Hours of Le Mans. His seat goes to James Winslow. The 38-year-old British driver made his Le Mans début in 2014 for Greaves Motorsport (LMP2) and returned with Race Performance in the same class two years later. He last raced in the French endurance classic in 2017 at the wheel of Graff’s #39 Oreca 07-Gibson with Enzo Guibbert and Eric Trouillet.

Winslow will team up with Jakub Smiechowski and Nigel Moore in the #34 Ligier JS P217-Gibson for Inter Europol Competition’s maiden Le Mans outing.  The Polish outfit is fielding LMP2 and LMP3 entries in this season’s European Le Mans Series.
