As explained by IMSA Performance team manager Franck Rava, the French team will have "a very busy weekend at Le Mans between Road to Le Mans and the Porsche Carrera Cup!"

That also means there will be several cars to manage. "In Road to Le Mans, we are running two cars, one (the #76 Porsche 911 GT3 R, Ed.) for Thierry Cormac and Raymond Narac, the same driver line-up who did the Blancpain Endurance Series last year and the V de V this year, and one (#96 Porsche 997 R, Ed.) for a driver line-up of gentlemen-drivers Franck Racinet and Michel Ettouati. Both come from the Club Porsche France." 

Road to Le Mans was added to the French team's program with one specific objective. "The goal is to return to Le Mans and once again be able to run at the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit. We want to take part in the week of the 24 Hours, in the atmosphere of this big race. It's a step, we hope, toward returning to Le Mans in 2018."

Road to Le Mans is a small aspect of IMSA Performance's program given the team is involved in quite a few championships. "In addition to our V de V program, we are also involved in the Porsche Carrera Cup. For the opening round and curtain-raiser for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, we will run two cars for the drivers from Australia (the Porsche Carrera Cup Le Mans welcomes, among others, drivers from the Australian Porsche Carrera Cup, Ed.), Marc Cini in the #19 and Paul Tresidder in the #23."
