LM GTE

2015 is the last year of the current regulations as new ones governing this category will be introduced in 2016. However, it has been agreed that it will still be possible to enter cars complying with the 2015 regs next year.

LM GTE

The teams in LM GTE Pro (driver line-ups consisting of three professionals if desired) can enter a new evolution of their car this season. The entrants in LM GTE Am (one professional driver out of the three) must run 2014 models.

The balance of Performance (BoP) will be announced later.

LM GTE Am: Larbre Competition makes its comeback!

This year there are 13 cars in the LM GTE category. The big news is the return of French squad, Larbre Competition, with a 2014 Corvette C7.R. Last year Larbre, which has racked up many successes in GTE Am, quit the category and swapped to LM P2 with a Morgan.

Three of the six Ferraris in the GTE field will be run by AF Corse. The other three have been entered by Scuderia Corse, JMW Motorsport and SMP Racing which, like last year, is present in two categories (LM P2 and LM GTE Am).

Four Porsches complete the LM GTE line-up with two from the Proton Racing stable, which is continuing its agreement with Dempsey Racing and Abu Dhabi. The American actor will be back at Le Mans for his fourth outing making the hero of Grey’s Anatomy the star who has the most starts in the Sarthe classic, which he loves.

The other two 911s are run by the Team AAI, which clinched its two places thanks to its great results in the 2014 Asian Le Mans Series. It is worth mentioning that despite its difficult start, the Asian Le Mans Series has helped quality teams such as AAI to come to Le Mans, and has thus fulfilled our expectations like the other continental series.

Rounding out the list are two Aston Martins. In all there will be five Astons entered by Aston Martin Racing at the start of the 83rd Le Mans 24 Hours reinforcing the rich historical links between the English make and the event.

LM GTE reserves

On the joint list of the LM P and GTE reserves there are four teams in the LM GTE category. No. 1 on the list is Riley Motorsport with an STR Viper GTS-R. The others are Formula Racing (Ferrari 458 Italia), Gulf Racing UK (Porsche 911 RSR) and Proton Competition (Porsche 911 RSR).
