24 Hours of Le Mans – Saturday 11 June programme

It's finally the big day! The start of the 90th 24 Hours of Le Mans – third round of the 2022 FIA WEC – will be be given at 16:00 local time. Official starter TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné will wave the French flag to release competitors for 24 hours of edge-of-your-seat racing.

24 Hours of Le Mans Starter

The start of the 90th 24 Hours of Le Mans will be given at 16:00 local time by official starter TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné. The minutes preceding will include a breathtaking ceremony with the placement of the cars on the grid, the arrival of the French flag by helicopter, the playing of the French national anthem La Marseillaise and a circuit flyover by the "Patrouille de France." The pressure reaches fever pitch with driver adrenaline at its peak as the race director releases the 62 cars for 24 hours of extremely intense racing.

24 Hours of Le Mans Warm-up

Earlier, from 10:30 to 10:45, drivers take their cars out on the track for one final 15-minute run before the start of the race. It is the ideal opportunity for the 62 competitors to tweak final settings and adapt their cars to impending weather conditions.  

Road To Le Mans

From 11:20 to 12:15, Road to Le Mans competitors will take on their second race, the third round of the 2022 Michelin Le Mans Cup. This race is reserved for cars in compliance with the FIA GT3 and ACO LMP3 regulations.

Ligier European Series

For the first time, this one-make series figures on the support race programme before the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Ligier JSP4s and JS2Rs hit the track yesterday for the first race and the second is scheduled today from 09:00 to 09:50, the perfect kickoff to an outstanding day.

The Stranglers Concert

Formed in 1974, the provocative rock band The Stranglers is gearing up to wow audiences once again with the group's distinctive British sound! Their setlist is tailored for a live show to include classics like Golden BrownAlways The SunNo More Heroes and Peaches, as well as titles from their new album Dark Matters released on 10 September 2021. Expect a few surprises...during their last tour, the band retooled certain elements of their most famous hits, making for a very special show. The Stranglers is undeniably one of the most exciting and influential British groups of the last several decades with 24 singles and 18 albums in the Top 40.
