24 Hours of Le Mans – The legendary race honoured at the 2023 Rétromobile in Paris

At the 2023 Rétromobile show (Parc des Expositions of the Porte de Versailles) on 1-5 February, tributes to the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be paid in the form of several exceptional exhibitions.

In this the year of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary, the annual Rétromobile show for car enthusiasts will honour the greatest endurance race in the world. The Automobile Club de l'Ouest will be present for three key exhibitions.

"24 HOURS OF LE MANS: A CHANCE FOR THE FRENCH TO SHINE"

This exhibition highlights French manufacturers and craftsmen who have distinguished themselves at Le Mans. The presentation will include cars that have raced in one or more of the 90 runnings of the 24 Hours or are preparing to do so. Focused on 11 legendary cars, the presentation allows visitors to discover models such as the Peugeot 9X8, the Matra Simca 660/670 and the Alpine-Renault A210.

Go to Hall 1 to learn all about the history of the greatest endurance race in the world.

"24 HOURS OF LE MANS, A LABORATORY OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES"

Technological advancement has always been the raison d'être of motorsport. Competition has pushed constructors to innovate and to test the viability of new technologies. The 24 Hours of Le Mans carries particular significance in that respect because the search for performance is married with that of reliability. Disc brakes, hybrid engines, anti-fog lights, hydrogen...countless innovations have improved performance and safety, and reducted environmental footprints.

Go to Hall 2.2 to see the showcase of four revolutionary cars, including the hydrogen-electric prototype from the MissionH24 project.
