Four Le Mans winners at Daytona

Four former winners of the 24 hours of le mans will race this weekend at the 24 hours of daytona

 

They have nine wins between them at Le Mans, and have one thing in common, they are all Audi drivers.

Allan McNish (winner at Le Mans in 1998 and 2008) will share the wheel of the Ford-Riley No.2 with his fellow Scot Ryan Dalziel, Venezuelan Alex Popow and Sébastien Bourdais. Please note that this car is entered by Starworks, who won the LM P2 class in La Sarthe last year. Two drivers of the 24 Hours winning car of 2010, Mike Rockenfeller and Romain Dumas, are respectively driving a Corvette Daytona Prototype (No.9) and Porsche (No.67). Frank Biela (winner at Le Mans in 2000-2001-2002-2006-2007) will be at the wheel of the Audi R8 Grand Am No.13, with the aim of giving Audi a victory in the GT class.

Other figures from Le Mans in Florida include among others, Anthony Davidson, Pedro Lamy, Nicolas Minassian , Stéphane Sarrazin, Simon Pagenaud (second in 2011), Marc Lieb, Oliver Gavin, Antonio Garcia and LM GTE Pro winners in 2012, Toni Vilander and Giancarlo Fisichella in the Ferrari 458 Italia (No.61).
