The Pescarolos make their mark at the Classic 24 Hour at Daytona

Like the Le Mans Classic, the cars of the Classic 24 Hour at Daytona are divided in six fields. Group E included two cars that almost went head-to-head at the "regular" 24 Hours of Le Mans: an Audi R8 and a Pescarolo 01.

Indeed, the Pescarolo 01 succeeded the C60 that went up against the Audi. The German car, in the colours of the Champion team, won with at the wheel Doug Smith and Andy Wallace, victorious at the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was ahead of the two Pescarolo 01s, one of which was driven by Christophe Tinseau, former driver with the Pescarolo team who will once again take the start at the 24 Hours in 2016 with Frédéric Sausset.
