Subsequent to its association with the Japanese outfit SARD, Benoît Morand's outfit was supposed to enter two Morgans in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in its entirety and therefore the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but it had to revise its plans shortly before the beginning of the season, which led to its withdrawal from the first race at Silverstone.
At Spa-Francorchamps, only one car was at the start of the second round of the world championship, though that did not prevent Team SARD Morand from reaching the third step on the podium in the LM P2 class thanks to the trio Pierre Ragues, Oliver Webb and Zoel Amberg. A good sign for the 83rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans prior to which the Morgan EVO-SARD will trade its blue livery for a more predominantly red and black one...
