24 Hours of Le Mans – A look back at the Super Season in the LMGTE Am class (video)

The 87th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (15-16 June) is also the Super Final of the 2018-2019 FIA World Endurance Championship. After the race, the FIA Endurance LMGTE Am Teams Trophy will be awarded. For now, here's a video retrospective of the Super Season in this highly competitive class.

Leading the provisional classification in the FIA Endurance LMGTE Am Teams Trophy with 113 points, Team Project 1's Porsche 911 RSR has dominated the class ahead of Spirit Of Race's #54 Ferrari 488 GTE with 90 points and TF Sport's #90 Aston Martin Vantage with 87 points. So, the crown is still in play, especially since Dempsey-Proton Competition's #77 Porsche 911 RSR, with 87 points and currently fourth in the championship, could cause an upset. The winner of five rounds, the team was heavily penalised mid-season for noncompliance with FIA World Endurance Championship regulations, thus losing all points earned between the start of the season and the 6 Hours of Fuji. With the crown up for grabs, we're in for a ferocious battle for the 38 points awarded for a class win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
