24 Hours of Le Mans – Algarve Pro Racing (LMP2)

This year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans sees a record number of entrants on the grid. We take a look at the 43 teams behind the 62 cars in the field. Here we give you the lowdown on LMP2 team Algarve Pro Racing.

#25 Oreca 07-Gibson

Team Achievements:

This will be the Portugal-based team’s fourth 24 Hours of Le Mans, it’s best showing an overall 17th place and 12th in LMP2 in 2016. Algarve Pro Racing ran a successful 2018-19 Asian Le Mans Series campaign with two Ligier JS P217s, finishing in second place in LMP2. The team is also running two Oreca 07-Gibson’s in the European Le Mans Series this season.
On Test Day, the #25 Oreca 07-Gibson ranked 18th overall and 10th in LMP2.

Team Goals at the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans:

Competition in the LMP2 class gets stiffer each year and Algarve Pro Racing will be looking to avoid the pitfalls of the circuit to finish the French 24-hour classic. With luck on its side, this outfit could make the top ten in class.
